The exhibition by photographer Jolana Havelková reflects, from various perspectives, two regions close to her heart: the town Kolín area and the Vysočina Highlands. She has been forming a relationship with these places throughout her life and repeatedly returns to them in her work. She is interested not only in the local landscape and the rivers flowing through it but also in the ancient past of these areas and their rich archaeological layers.
In her artistic practice, she uses photography and the photogram technique, as well as collage principles and various forms of text. Her works often have a time-lapse or diary-like character and are the result of long-term research on a chosen theme. The artist frequently collaborates with musicians and sound artists.
The exhibition opening will take place on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at 5 p.m.
